Suspended Drywall Ceilings and Integrated Lighting

A suspended ceiling does two jobs at once: technically it hides AC pipes, wiring and ventilation ducts; aesthetically it turns lighting into an architectural element. A flat ceiling is the minimal standard; stepped (tray) designs give living rooms depth and concealed-light options; backlit cove models make the ceiling appear to float.

In execution, flatness is everything: a suspended ceiling shows the smallest ripple across a wide surface. So our carrier profiles are set to a laser plane, hanger spacing is calculated for board load, and the surface is projector-swept before handover. Spot layouts are drawn to the furniture plan — light lands on the dining table, not in the eyes of someone on the sofa.

Why EMC Decor

Zero Wave Flatness: Checked with 3D lasers and raking projector lights.

Anti-Crack System: Built with Knauf Kurt tapes and Uniflott compound.

Architectural Lighting: Seamless spot, cove LED & shadow-gap trim integration.

Legal Security: Contractual workmanship guarantee & manufacturer material warranties.

The Challenges You Face, Our Fix

RISK 01: Sagging ceilings and visible cracking at board joints

SOLUTION: Profile grade, hanger spacing and joint reinforcement are selected for the ceiling design; correct joint treatment reduces cracking risk.

RISK 02: Waves and imperfections visible when lights turn on

SOLUTION: We align framing with 3D lasers and inspect the skim coat under raking light so visible surface waves can be corrected before handover.

RISK 03: Misaligned spotlight cutouts and messy wiring

SOLUTION: We pre-route cables in conduits and drill spot holes using exact laser-guided hole saws to match layout plans.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many cm will a suspended ceiling lower the room height?

A standard flat ceiling with spots requires 7 to 10 cm of drop. For stepped coves or tray designs, drop ranges between 12 to 15 cm.

Will the board joints crack over time?

Correct profile spacing, suitable joint tape and installation to the manufacturer's system substantially reduce the risk of cracking. The selected system and workmanship warranty terms are stated in the contract.

Can drywall be used in humid areas like bathrooms or kitchens?

Yes. In humid spaces, we exclusively use green moisture-resistant Knauf boards (GKLV) and galvanized stainless framing profiles.
